I found something in the papers in the sleeping quarters that seems to relate to our host and his guests.
[ ""Guests"" ]
There was a heavily redacted passage on a page amongst those detailing the history of necromancy that spoke of a previously revered necromancer of the court of one Doxe Cosimo at Taravast, a citadel that housed schools of sorcery and necromancy.
Cosimo's Conclave found this necromancer guilty of mass sacrifice. In excess of a hundred people murdered, to their knowledge at the time of sentencing, who were believed killed in pursuit of his work. It seems the bodies were discovered inside his house.
Whoever crossed all this out was pretty upset about it. As I assume one might be if they'd been exiled from reality for all eternity.
[ All this to say... ]
We should be careful when considering giving Lisanther the scroll pieces he seeks.

Lisanther, for his part, didn't mention who he intends to murder on the way out, only that he'd let the skeletal hounds rest. Didn't bother speaking with the old man in the maze, he kept chasing me around with his cane.

One who's lost his mind, another with a mind perfectly sharp and still actively practicing his art, and a third imprisoned out of fear of his fury. It doesn't not come together to form a possible mass murderer.

You have a scroll piece?
[ The evidence would appear to be mounting. ]

[ An expectant silence; almost like he's waiting for Strange to follow up. ]

That explains why our friends at the DRTC decided the deal was off.

So, the guy downstairs... [ he means the prisoner ] that's why he's saying all these ghosts and shit, that was "after" his time.

He said he was born here, the same as he was in Taravast. Kept promising to "ruin" things if I let him go. [ Which turned out to be the exact opposite what Nacho had wanted him to promise, which is why he's still in his cell. ]

Ruin things for who? [ He's not in favour of meddling in the punishment here. But if the selves wish to destroy each other... ] It might not be the worst thing if he did.

There's one problem, man. He says he wants "the world" to know how powerful he is. I'm not letting him out to do whatever he wants to a bunch of unsuspecting innocent people.

It always begets more violence in the end. The scrolls are different, though. That's a much harder proposition to find fault with. ]
Yeah, okay... [ Thinking, thinking. ] How many of us found pieces?
