The Prince has been so direct as to exchange notes when sent inquiries.

In his words:

( here, an image, which isn't a photograph but instead her turning the watch pendant around to display the note she's received, several visible around the one she focuses on, reading: )

Until the witch does, in its name. The forest died. The animals perished. They will revive at their own pace. It is the witch who wants amends, who is never satisfied. The witch who taunts and teases. Who took everything, lives and likenesses.

He says he's doing what he can from his side. That he hopes for a change of heart from the witch. The witch who is male, yes, I did read what's been shared here. Men of all kinds, from the ones seeking blood, to the ones seeking reparations, all acting foolish.

Who's for knocking them all on the back of the head and telling them to sort it all out like grown adults?

I was thinking we could try to help them break the curse in some manner. Maybe a less violent method if there is one but then... if that's what it takes, count me in.

The forest is, obviously, the key. We could try helping to plant knew growth or figure out what's wrong with the wolves? It seems the prince is supposed to help in some manner, and I know the forest won't replenish over night, but if we just tried... if we convinced them all to try more... maybe it could spark that discussion that's needed to end all of this.

[He sounds hopeful...and maybe like he's fidgeting while he suggests it at the same time.]

I know, I know. I just thought maybe the good will might show how grateful we are and how we want to help both the witch and the prince out of their mess.

If the witch is...well... Julien... we can try talking to him and the prince to get them on the same page.

I agree. So it's really just a matter of getting the talking started.

My suggestion of helping the forest still stands. It could spark interest, or at the least show our intention to help. If they can recognize that, it would give us a sympathetic ear when trying to convince them to sit and talk with one or a few of us there to help...mediate, I suppose.

[a long pause]

...and if that doesn't work we can just waylay them when they get together at night, I suppose. I can pick a lock and get into the tower. [Said in an exhaled rush. He really doesn't want to go the more hostile route but if needs must he's willing.]
