I know that ash is commonly used for cleaning, but I do not believe it is quite as effective on stone or hardwood floors. And if you'd like to burn something, the kitchen might not be the best place. We have room outside.

Also, I do believe there was talk about purifying the lake and the house after our... guests departed. Has more thought been put into that?

They always happen? So telling me to watch the dog more closely is just wasting your breath and my time because he's going to get out regardless?

He is going to get out. But there is nothing in what I saw that says there will be no one else with him. I didn't see them, but it doesn't mean there isn't. I don't see everything. Just bits and pieces.

It doesn't change anything to the fact that the dog will get out, no.

I see things. Sometimes the significance of these things becomes more obvious at a later time.

... Where do you keep the dog, then? I don't think I have even seen it.

Then what is the point of having or talking about the visions.

The dog does as he pleases, but he sleeps in my room and we make rounds together around the farm. He mostly stays close, but sometimes, ah, he does what he likes.

[ Which is to herd Wei Wuxian into trees. It's a working dog and there aren't enough livestock, what can we say. ]

What if it happened, and I told you later I knew it was going to happen but didn't tell you anything? Would you blame me for not telling then?

I don't always tell everyone about my visions, but in this place, I don't know what is significant and what is not.
