This is Darth Imperius.

Anyone interested in discussing our newfound options in person... [ or more importantly, away from prying ears on the quartz ] ...may find me in the parlor this evening. Perhaps it is genuinely time to round up that group meeting several of us keep threatening.

I don't think there should be terribly much to discuss in that regard, but a meeting wouldn't be amiss.

Shall I expect to see you, then? Not that you're a hard man to find. I suppose you and I could always speak over our spar in the morning.

We should probably have as many people in attendance as we can manage, but given it could take some time to organize, I'd be happy to discuss it with you sooner.

I suppose we should try to drag everyone together within the week, at least, if we are really doing this. None of the parties waiting on our group's answer exactly seem the patient sort.

But, hm, yes. One way or another, I'm sure I'll see you soon to speak about it.

How about we tack up notes for each way forward and leave a mark underneath?

Why anyone wants to support either warlord of the dead is honestly beyond me. I can see no justice in either one, and neither spare the people. Leave them and this region to find their own way forward. They have to bear the consequences long term, not us.

Perhaps a simple vote would be easiest.

With as little as we all truly know of this region, I am tempted to leave it to the one who's apparently been here long enough to be part of the traditions. But of course our real concerns lie far beyond this place. Whatever will get us out of Sa-Hareth in the cleanest fashion would certainly be the wise course.

Cleanest fashion and least depending on the word of a struggling powerbase to smooth going forward.

Indeed. What are promises from a king desperate enough to solicit the help of thirty-something displaced refugees? [ snort ] They've both shown their hands more than they realize.

Hm, I don't think we've spoken? Do come by, I'll have... what passes for tea in this place, at least. Were you on the ship...? [ he's busily trying to place the voice but coming up blank. ]

The promise of (questionable) tea was just an added bonus for Regulus. A few weeks into his new life and he was already pining for the simple luxuries of home - good tea.

But what he was really after this evening was information. Everyone seemed to have an idea of how best to act, and while Regulus had been initially swayed by one individual's thoughts, that didn't mean it wasn't worth listening to others.

He'd been granted a new life, one with glaring issues (again, the tea), but he planned to shape his own morality in this place and the best way was to know what was going on.

So here he was, meeting Darth Imperious in the parlor that evening.

"Darth Imperious?" Regulus asked by way of announcing himself after walking into the room.

The so-called 'Darth Imperius', whatever that name was supposed to mean, proved to be a short young man sitting around in the farmhouse's rustic parlor poring through a stack of mismatched books and papers as he waited there with his tea. He glanced curiously in Regulus's direction over the top of his cup, a very green gaze flicking up and down the other man, sizing him up perhaps. The dark robes Imperius was wearing wouldn't have been completely out of place if seen on someone strolling through Diagon Alley, but the metallic armored accents they sported here and there might surely have raised a few brows.

"That would be me. And I believe I recognize your voice, but don't think I got your name?" He gave a thoughtful hum. "You certainly don't look like someone I remember grabbing off the ship either. Just arrived on this delightful little rock, I take it?" His voice dipped into a low, sardonic drawl.
